were at this Autumn's Open Studio. Pictured

If you came to the Open Studio then you'll
know what was there. If not, then this is what
you missed.
has constructed an enormous polystyrene
wall, atmospherically lit with neon tubes. Amid
the formal modular arrangements are cars and
townscapes. Best viewed in the dark, this piece
became quite a focal-point (along with the wine
box) on Friday night for artists and show-goers.
paintings depict places
and the introspective narratives of people that
inhabit them. The viewer becomes an observer
within the scene, not involved but present creating
the sense of isolation and detachment characteristic
of these works. Reminds me of Hopper.
gives glimpses of female figures
in some kind of trauma. Rape, murder and violence
towards the potrayed women belie a voyeristic
